I have only read three of the Nancy Drew books from cover-to-cover ("The Secret of the Old Clock", "The Clue in the Crossword Cipher", "The Sign of the Twisted Candles", and have recently started "The Mystery at the Moss-Covered Mansion".) But, even though they're all excellent, I honestly have to say that "The Clue in the Crossword Cipher" was the best. The books always keeps you thinking at the end of each chapter; what might happen next and how Nancy will solve the mystery. In "The Clue in the Crossword Cipher", Nancy meets a young girl from Peru, about her same age, named Carla Ponce. Carla asks Nancy to solve her "monkey mystery" (which I will not give away) and along with Nancy's best friends, Bess Marvin and George Fayne, the four of them set out to solve the mystery. They explore South America and go to places like the Argentine, Cuzco, Peru, and lastly, the Nascan Lines, a desert in South America. I recommend you read this amazing book and all the others in the Nancy Drew series, too.

This book is great. Nancy goes to Mexico to help a girl find out what a strange message in a crossword cipher means. All Nancy Drew books are great, and I have not read them all, but I am going to. This book deserves more than five stars. The price is great too. I highly encourage you to buy this book!

THE CLUE OF THE DANCING PUPPET was a very fun book to read. I couldn't put it down. Nancy is asked to investigate again; this time she checks out a puppet that is seen dancing across the lawn of an old estate, home of an acting group. She follows the puppet but doesn't get anywhere the first time. Ned, Burt and Dave make an appearance as well as Bess and George. Nancy acts in a play, which makes Ned kind of mad. This is a great book for any major (or not-so-major) Nancy Drew fan to read. You are sure to love it!

This was one of the first misteries I have read.I read this sometime between 4th and 5th grade. Now, I'm in 9th and still love this book. If you love misteries these are the best ones to read. The first thing that really attracted me to this was the awesome book cover. The book covers are ususally the first thing to pull me into a book if I had not read anything about the book before. The red barn theatre is also a favorite of mine.

When Nancy goes to the french deejay, Etianne's house, she is very surprised to find just a dead body and a wierd, unidentified message on his answering machine. This novel was great. Nancy and Ned have broken up, and now Ned is dating a stunningly beautiful ballerina. Nancy is delighted when Ned asks her to investigate a jewel robbery, until he mentions that he wants her to do it to prove his new girlfriend's innocence, as she is a key suspect in the robbery. Nancy can't turn down a mystery, and during this novel, Ned and Nancy's romance begins to rekindle.

This was a very good book. There were some very big surprises and the horseback scenes were great! This book will definitely keep you guessing.

This Nancy Drew book is the best one I have read so far! I like all 6 scary mysteries. They all keep the reader wanting to read more and more. I think this book should be read by children who like scary mysterious stories. When you start to read this book you will not want to put this book down.

It was a neat book. Nancy and George go on a wilderness trek and when things get suspicious, Nancy calles in the Hardys. It had lots of excitement though it didn't really have any romance. I think out of all the titles in the series this would be one of the best. I loved this when I was eight (now I can read it in half an hour). This is a great childrens book. I suggest it to young readers everywhere.

The story starts when Mr. Drew recieves a rug from Istanbul. There is a secret message woven into it and tells him to find a mannequin of his because he loves her. Of course Nancy sets out to find it. It had such an awesome ending. I will let you find out what it is though.
